I've hadsilver ring turn black before too, (not because of bleach though, it was because some of the black stuff in the designs came off because I left in jewelry cleaner for 3 days. >_<) I just scrubbed it really hard with a toothbrush and it was fine. If your ring is sterling silver, all you need to do is use the same kind of silver cleaner that you would use on silverware, or take it to a jeweler, and they will buff it bright again for you for you for a couple of dollars. All you have done is cause it to be chemically tarnished (oxidized).

Here is the thing.. I'm not a big fan of gold jewelry. It just looks tacky when I wear it :/ BUT my boyfriend bought me a gold ring...I was wondering if there was any way to make it a silver color? It does have gemstones on it and if there's no way of doing this then I'm perfectly happy keeping it the way it is...after all it's the thought that counts right? Besides on "Ebay", there are occasionally "Mood Rings" made of "Sterling Silver" sold on "RubyLane.com" (online). Because most "Mood Rings" made of more valuable metals are antique (you're right - they don't make them like they used to), they are very hard to find. I would check in "Antique" stores, at "Estate" sales, at indoor & outdoor "Flea" markets and maybe other online Web-sites which sell off-brand merchandise. I believe there are also other online "Auction" Web-sites. . I am not sure if there are Web-sites devoted exclusively to "Estate" sale items. Sometimes a "Vintage Mood Ring" will come up for bid on Ebay. There are some "Looking For" Web-sites online (you would probably have to Register with them), where you could then advertise your request in detail of what it is you are interested in finding. You also may want to try Web-sites devoted to "Hobbies" (I am sure that there is probably a "Hobbies.com"). Yard sales might be another option, but it would be unusual to find a "Vintage Mood Ring" there.
