Self-esteem comes from who you are and what you do. Not what you have and what you wear. Wealth is not defined as "who has the most", but rather "who needs the least". Some of the wealthiest people I have met are considered "poor" while some of the poorest people I have met live in mansions.

It is ok to get if it is something your family can afford to get you. If it is something that is going to extend your parents too far it would be selfish of you to ask about it. You are 13- maybe babysitting this winter will help you either pay for it or make a deal with your parents that when you save enough money you can split the cost. It is very important that if you do aquire a nice piece of jewlery that you should NEVER and I mean never flaunt it. Just remember that alot of other girls parents cannot afford to spend that kind of money on a necklace. It may make you want to hold your head up higher and make you feel good, and that is great, but don't make anyone feel any less about your good fortune. Jewlery is an asset. You will have it a lifetime if you care for it properly. I would rather see a young girl get a Tiffany necklace for 150 bucks than see them spend it on video games or crap that won't last a year.

Yes and no. If you or your parents can reasonably afford it, then it would be OK to ask for one as a gift. If it is not something that your parents could easily afford I would suggest asking for something else. You have to ask yourself, are you responsible? How do you treat the jewelry you already have? If you treat it well, and it is all still in good condition then maybe you are ready for a Tiffany & Co necklace. If not, perhaps you should wait a while. And lastly, why do you want it anyway? Is it because someone else has it? Is it just because it is from that store? Be an individual. If you like it because it is beautiful, great, but not if you like it because you "should." Ultimatly you are going to have to discuss this with your parents, as most 13 year olds I know don't have tons of money lying around. Personally I wouldn't buy a 13 year old daughter of mine a necklace like that. There are more important things than a Tiffany and Co necklace.

I had an over 8 caret amethyst gem from Uragray specially cut into the shape of a heart and I have over 200grams of 99.9% silver. It's not bad at all, it has an antique look to it, but if you'd like it shinier, mix a little baking soda and water together, then scrub it on the silver with an old tootbrush...I swear it works so well on silver. Hope this helps!
