Probably not. If it says 925 on the clasp or anywhere on it then it is Silver but that doesn't look like anythinghusband's ever seen - he's a jeweler, I just had him read the question. You can try looking those symbols up on google, they might stand for mylar (That's what they make potato chip bags out of, in case you didn't know what it meant)

If you use a sunshine brand polishing cloth it will remove the tarnish really well. I've worked at jewelry stores for the past 5 years. And, inexperience this cloth works THE BEST. It might take a while, but keep working at it. The clothes are safer than liquid jewelry cleaner.
