Question: Rhodium plated sterling silver necklace?
Does anyone know where I can find a Rhodium plated .925 sterling silver cuban or figaro style chain? I would like it to be made from REAL sterling silver, not that 'semi-precious' metal base stuff. I would prefer around 24 inch, 6 mm ish. Less that 60 bucks would be preferred (reasonable for silver). And yes, rhodium plating is a must. Links would be greatly apprecietated

Question: Is this necklace real silver (Sterling Silver)?
Alright, I got this necklace from my girlfriend, and she said her friend bought it for her at some store. Well, on one side of the necklace where the clip is, it has a small ingraving that says "Livior", and nothing on the opposite side of that clip. On the other end of the necklace, on one side, it says "ITALY" and the other side it has the numbers "925", but they are VERY tiny. Do these engravings let you know it is "Real" or "Fake"? Could anybody tell me if it is real or fake please, thanks! Also, it is quite heavy. Not majorly heavy, but it is heavier than I would think it would be! To "Sweetness" She doesnt really know, but I dont think it is very reliable to have her friends friend pick it up, and I was just checking because I was interested in jewelery for once. I was just checking to see if it is real so I take good care of it. I wear it everyday no matter what anyways. xD

real sterling silver usually has italy on one side and 925 on the other so yeah it seems real to me take it to a jewlery store and let them check it out. (Does your GF know you don't believe her) or that you are checking up to see if her gift to you is real isn't it the thought that counts

yes!it is 100% real sterling silver!congrats! 1)the heaviness factor...if it was light and flimsy feeling it would not be real sterling silver...heaviness shows legitimacy! 2)the .925 will only be engraved on your piece(and it should be in super duper tiny lettering)letting you know it is authentic silver!

Answer: yes the marking 925 tells you its silver. now, just a 411... ...
yes the marking 925 tells you its silver. now, just a 411... 925 is the marking that's used today . a few years back you would see the word sterling. 925 is telling you that its as good as it gets today. the most common alloy in the mix with the silver is copper. copper allows it to keep form, it gives it strength. most silver comes from Peru and Mexico. anyway, you have a nice treasure ( when you are not wearing it, stick a piece of chalk with it) it keeps it from tarnishing so quickly. peace to you...
