I have never seen a piece of jewelry with 14KGB on it. If it is gold it is stamped either 10K, 14K, or 18K. Don`t know what the GB means unless it would be 14Karat Gold Bonded. Avoid wearing it when washing up , applying handcream or handling greasy food as diamonds attract grease and oil and it will coat them and make them dull and lose their sparkle.

You are supposed to spend six months salary on the ring, and when your girlfriend sees how big (or how small) a diamond six months of your salary will buy, she can decide whether or not you can support her in the manner to which she is accustomed.
As for how much an averaged sized diamond ring will cost, you will have to consult your local jeweler. To know how many months salary is the price of that ring, take the price that the jeweler give you and divide that by a month of your salary to find how many months it will take to pay for that ring.Answer: You buy what you can afford. If you buy it at a jeweler ...
You buy what you can afford. If you buy it at a jeweler that accepts it back as a trade, you can always trade up to a bigger size down the road. You MUST first do a search for "Diamonds 4 C's" before you worry about how many month's salary or you can get ripped off - big time. They are all things that tell you about the diamond's size and QUALITY. Carats (size/weight) Color (self explanatory) Cut (shape and facets) and Clarity (how clear the diamond is of things like fisures and carbon spots) You can buy a HUGE diamond with bad Color, Cut and Clarity for very little, while a SMALL stone with great Color, Cut and Clarity can be quite expensive. There's a zillion in between options as well. RESEARCH it before you spend anything! There's way too much you need to know for me to tell you here. You will need to ask about all of those "4 C's" as the industry calls them, when you go to make the purchase, no matter how many months salary it is. It is always best to buy the largest stone, of the best quality you can AFFORD at the time of purchase.
Here are just a few examples of the MANY things you need to consider/ learn about before you buy any diamond. A traditional round diamond solitaire can hide less than perfect Color, Clarity and Cut. A Princess Cut (square_ can not- it needs to have great Color, Clarity and Cut to be beautiful. The LESS color a white diamond has the more costly. They also assign grades to diamonds. An F = Flawless; very rare an expensive. I1 & I2 have imperfections you can see with the eye and no magnification. There are several more grades in between. I think just those few examples show you why it is so important to know WHAT you are buying before you decide how much to spend. Good luck! Speel checker is down and I am tired-apologies!Question: Can diamonds be added to an existing ring setting?
