i have a ring that was found on the ground in the middle off the parking lot of my business. it has small stones layed all around it. I dont even know if its real or not. I have had a few different people look at it and they think that it is real and worth a good amount of money. it has a serial number engraved inside the band. is there a website I can visit to enter that number to get any info about this ring? I really wanted a triangle cut emerald with a small diamond on each side buthusband got me a solitaire. Now I'm glad that he did because diamonds are so much stronger than other stones and, since I don't take it off, that's important. It can stand up to shampoo, dish soap, dirt, etc. I would never consider letting an emerald ring get dirty but I knowdiamond will wash right off and it even sparkes BETTER after I do the dishes. One bit of advice: My husband chose a solitaire that stands up high on the ring. I don't like it because I catch it on everything and I've scratcheddaughter several times with it. Sometimes I will weargrandmother's rings which lay down flatter (it's also a diamond) because I don't snag them as much. A tall solitaire is gorgeous but, remember, you'll hopefully be wearing it every day for the rest of your life.Answer: My sister has a really nice blue sapphire...she LOVES blue ...
