Think of the 3 Cs. Cut Clarity Colour If the diamond is round, very clear (white) and no inclusions (flaws in the crystal), it could be worth $10,000 per carat. Since "champagne" diamonds in popular you could get between $5 and $8,000 per carat. Take it and get it appraised.

Depends on the quality of the stone and depth of color. If it's just a really yellowy-brown diamond, but not a fancy color (think canary), then it will be worth a lot less then a natural fancy yellow stone. Regardless, a single 16.16 ct stone would be worth tens of thousands of dollars. Even a cluster of 16.16cts would be several thousand dollars. You would have to give us more information before you could get a real answer.

As long as the ring is 10k or more gold. If it's gold plated you cannot have it resized without ruining it. You can resize any gold ring up or down and it only costs around $30. Most places you buy it at will size it for free.

Answer: Typically no, it is not recommended to size a ring more then ...
Typically no, it is not recommended to size a ring more then 2 sizes either way - and from a 7 to a 4 is a big jump! That severe of a resizing could endanger the mounting of the stones, because of the way the sizing process reshapes the ring itself, affecting the stability of the total ring. I wouldn't want to do it forcustomers, I would seriously stress purchasing a different ring instead

Question: I have a ring thats 10 k gold and has a diamond in it how much is it worth?

Answer: I think the worth would be in the diamond and the amount ...
I think the worth would be in the diamond and the amount would be based on the weight and clarity of the diamond. You can always take it to a good jewerly store and have it appriased. It is hard to answer your question without really seeing the ring. Hope this was helpful ~~~ If it has a nice diamond and you don't want to wear the ring you could always have the diamond put in a necklace...

Question: can a mens designer diamond ring be used for a wedding ring?
The ring I bought my fiance' is 14kt gold and has 56 square diamonds invisible set. It is not a traditional wedding band though. He is currently deployed and will be home and he has not seen the ring yet. He purchased my ring and I have not seen it yet either. I put a lot of thought into purchasing this ring, because I wanted to buy something that was mass produced and ordinary or that there are many of. I bought the ring from a local store after I searched the internet and many many stores around the area. The only ring that is similar to the ring I bought is at this link http://www.itshot.com/detail.aspx?Product_ID=A0176 the only difference from the ring on this link and the one I bought is that the width of the ring is wider and there are a lot more diamonds. I know that he has no idea what kind of ring he would like because he is not used to wearing rings, but he has an incredible sense of fashion and high end clothes and jewelry. Look at the ring on the link and be honest wit me I made a few clerical errors in writing. I meant to say that I wanted to get something that was not mass produced. Also the question is more of a thing about, if you were in the military and came home to marry your fiance whom you asked to marry you. Would you be happy to see this ring waiting for you? p.S. I already purchased the ring that I described from a local store and I got it for a very good price.

If you know it's something he'd be into, of course you can. : ) I'd always had a similar thought in mind in regard to engagement, via letting him propose, but some days later surprise him with his own men's diamond ring as well.

Answer: I was wed twice inlife, the first time simply and ...
i was wed twice inlife, the first time simply and informally, the second time formally--buthusband and I both put great thought into the wedding rings, to give what we thought the other would appreciate the most. i can see by what you said about your fiance being very stylish why you chose this ring, and I can see, per the link, that the one in the link opposed to what you say the local one is like has got to be really spectacular and very becoming of your beloved, one of the few courageous and proud young men that puts his life on the line each day in our armed forces. he deserves such a classy, beautiful ring that is not just like a wedding ring--it is unique. yes, it is not like a traditional wedding band, but that doesn't matter. what does matter are a couple of things: YOU thought about HIM for a long time as you searched for his ring. not many brides even know to look for, or are encouraged to, find their fiance any type of wedding ring. you spent TIME considering what he likes as you shopped. you certainly did something special in getting him a ring from a local merchant rather on the internet, because the jeweler knows the quality of the stones and told you of that, as well as that you are being patriotic in doing business locally. i think all these considerations make this really a special wedding ring--albeit that it looks something like a man's cocktail ring or one he might buy for his right hand if not married. but it is such a special ring, very classy, I am sure. what I hope you are not worried about is what anyone else will say about the ring that you yourself, his bride to be, took so much time and consideration of him to get for him. after all, the marriage is a union of you and he, is it not? others really have no knowledge of why you picked THAT ring for him, because none of them has or will know him as you do. don't let anyone else's opinions or fear of some etiquette rule sway you. the worse that can happen is that HE would prefer a different type of ring, yes? since you bought this from a local merchant, you'd be able to exchange it, I am sure. here is a way you can figure out if he will like it as a wedding band: go to any jeweler or sit at the monitor using the net looking at both similar and dissimilar rings for him, just to get a feeling of which ones he likes, and why he likes them. the why is very important. try to get to that web site you link to here to ask him if he likes THAT ring, but sort of slipping it by him so that he won't figure out what you are doing. if you see that he loves that ring, then by all means, be sure your ring bearer brings it on the wedding ring pillow to the alter. if he prefers an entirely different type of wedding ring (find out why), then go back to your jeweler to make an exchange. i think it is wonderful how much time you put into considering HIM when you chose this ring. that is what counts, isn't it? does the current or past or future "fasion trend" count at all? nope. do what makes each one of you happy, and keep doing that all your lives and enjoy your wedding, your marriage, your home, your children, growing old together, and all other things that make a marriage a bond not to be interferred with by others. what god hath bringeth together let no man put asunder (even yourselves). good luck and much happiness!
