Unless we were rolling in the dough I would be ever so pissed ifhubby blew that kind of cash on a ring or tennis bracelet. Gifts of that nature are often only appreciated by those who appreciate little else. Of course I will be put down for having this opinion...but remember what I am entitled to ...my opinion, not uber expensive and utterly pointless bling.

Question: Diamond bracelet pricing?
I have a diamond tennis bracelet that I was going to sell to make ends meet, after getting two different stories from a pawn shop and a jewelry store I decided to educate myself a little bit so I wasnt so naive. so one guy said it was 5 ct one guy said 3, I went to get measurements and there are 56 round cut stones 3.08 mm each. So now I know what I have at least. I guess I wont get retail what they are worth, but does anyone have any idea what would be a fair offer? The pawn shop said around 5 ct 600 $ he offered the jewelry store on lasalle's jewelers row said around 3 ct 675$. So I am confused and need help to get a fair value, please help. Its 14k white gold over yellow gold if that helps.

Answer: Dear Mark, the standard diameter for a well cut (with ...
Dear Mark, the standard diameter for a well cut (with very good proportions) round brilliant diamond with a full cut (57 facets) of a weight of 0.10 cts is 3.0 mm. This is the average diameter of the girldle (the circle you see when you look from above). 3.08 would correspond between 10 and 11 points, or 0.10 cts to 0.11 cts. This add up in total to lets say minimum estimation 5.60 cts in total. The value of the diamonds will depend on color and clarity of the stones, and if they are real diamonds. You should be able to obtain a fair value from a reputed jeweller or from a professional appraiser. Good luck ! Philip

There are tons of places to sell your diamond bracelet. Many thrift stores would be happy to buy it from you and to give you half of their profit. Amazon is another place that you can sell it to. You can go to the site to find out more about selling items to amazon, though. Ebay is probably your best bet because you get 100% of the profits, and the price could be raised.

I don't want to guess, so I'll just tell you: Take it to a jeweler, they can tell you what it's worth. Avoid taking it to the pawn shop, if you're considering selling it; they can't grade diamonds, so they usually only go by the gold weight, and you'll get totally ripped off.

There will be a big difference in the worth if you are buying, selling or insuring this bracelet. I would bring the whole box with certificate to one or two of the Mall Jewelry stores. Ask them the retail value of the bracelet. This is the price someone would have paid for it. If you are thinking of selling it, you will need to use the whole sale price to sell. Hope this helps.

Im Not Very Experienced With Jewelry And All =/ But I Do Know A Little! Anyways, Judging Your Bracelet Is A TENNIS BRACELET, Id Say It Is About In The 500-1000 Range. I Might Be Wrong Depending On How Many Karats The Gold Is, Though. Silver, On The Other Hand... Very Valuable Bracelet. Have It Estimated If You REALLY REALLY Are In Need Of An Estimation ;) I Would Say Hold On To Your Bracelet For A While! My Mom's 2 Karat Diamond Ring Went From About A Few Thosand To 32,000. So Hold On To It, And It Might Be A LOT More Valuable!! Good Luck. ~Aly**
